US rock band from Norfolk, Nebraska formed from the remnants of two groups: Little Joe & The Ramrods and The Strollers. Active from 1965-1973. The band name changed to "M.S. Funk" in early 1973 in Muscle Sholes, Alabama. Inducted into the Nebraska Music Hall Of Fame in 1995, The Smoke Ring continues to perform yearly for reunion concerts.
