The Fourth Estate formed in Santa Clara, California as a typical Garage Band of the 60s. Vocalist, Bob Watkins joined in the Spring of 1967, bringing a talent for Soul and R/B music. They soon changed their name to The Soultons. A three piece horn section was added. The Soultons played Soul music until Bob left the band in August of 1969. The band switched to playing Blood, Sweat and Tears/Chicago style rock until their brake up in the Spring of 1971. The Soultons played all through the San Francisco Bay Area and into Northern California and Northern Nevada. Core Members: Bob Watkins - lead vocal, Chuck Cali - lead guitar, Mando Reyes - bass guitar, Frank Bringino - rhythm guitar and valve trombone, Chris Vasquez - trumpet, Dennis Buldo - sax and Steve Ehrat - drums. Short Time Members: Pete Franasich - coronet, Jimmy Munoz - organ, Dave Daly - drums and Rich Navarro - temporary lead vocal.
