Album US 1963 on RCA Victor label
Folk (Folk)
This was a record produced for the Villanova University for sale to the student body. Other musical organizations within the campus also had records made in the same era. The Jazz band had one made that sold in the University Campus store for $3 per copy. This is the very first record album that Jim Croce performed in. The Spires were directed by Tom Picardo, later known as Tommy West. The Villanovans were directed by Art Cebrowski. This record was referenced by Tommy West in his liner notes for the very well known album "Jim Croce-The Faces I've Been". He said: "In 1963, The Spires had become popular enough so the the directors at Villanova released a record featuring the group."
