Created by Choc Royal and Dave Sewell, The Stabbing Trade is hard rock at its finest: riffs, hooks, searing leads and killer vocals. A passion for legendary metal from bands such as Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer and Led Zeppelin fuels the creative engine. In the beginning an outlet for Royal and Sewell to belt out great guitar riffs, The Stabbing Trade progressed in the beginning of 2013 to a more serious project and Danny Leo of King of the North was enlisted as a session drummer to lay down the rhythm tracks for the upcoming recording. The final piece of the puzzle fell into place when Emiliano "Memo" Beltzer, who moved to Melbourne from Argentina, joined up on bass and had all four songs of the EP nailed in just 10 days and only two rehearsals in time to record.
