The Stockholm Philharmonic Brass Ensemble made its debut in Stockholm in 1969. The members of the ensemble all belong to The Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra with the exception of Ivar Olsen who is alternate solo horn with Sveriges Radios Symfoniorkester. Claes Strömblad and Gunnar Schmidt (2), trumpets, as well as Rune Bodin, trombone, have been in the ensemble since its foundation, while Ivar Olsen, horn, joined the group in 1978, and Michael Lind (2), tuba, in 1975.
