Album US 1993 on Blue Note label
Jazz (Hard-Bop)
Recorded live at the Five Spot, New York in the summer of 1957. Note: This recording was made on a portable tape recorder with a single microphone. The sound and balance are not optimum and there are sporadic mechanical and electrical noises. The actual order of performance is as presented here, except that "Crepuscule With Nellie" opened the set. Part of the closing theme of "Epistrophy" is missing because that portion of the tape was recorded over at a later date. At that point on the Compact Disc, the music fades down and then up again.
