Frank Talks was created entirely from field recordings of cats and dogs in Healing, a village near Grimsby, and Leigh Woods in North Somerset (also the source of birdsong in Knowing You're Here). Similarly, Sprudel only employs one recording of a soluble multi vitamin tablet as it enters a glass of water and dissolves. With the exception of electronic based tracks Analogjam and Grammatik, all other pieces comprise a backing created using sounds derived from household objects, overlaid with vintage analogue synthesizers. The album title - tree little milk egg book - is taken from the 1971 Schonell Reading Test
