Soul - doo wop vocal group They were formed in 1960 in Texas by Virgil Johnson, a teacher of eighth grade English at Blackshear Junior High School in Odessa, Texas, which heard some of his students harmonising: Clarence Rigsby (tenor), Robert Thursby (tenor), William Solomon (baritone) and Mark Prince (bass). They introduced and signed to Monument by felow Texan rock n' roller Roy Orbison
