The WONDERBOYS

Fictional Dutch boy band, created solely for singing a song in an Unox soup commercial. In the 1997 TV and radio ad the non-existent quartet The Wonderboys announce their 'break up' in a mock press conference, which was an obvious parody to the split up of Take That a year earlier. The hugely popular commercial spawned the catchphrase 'Soepie?' (short for: 'Want some soup?'), and the song heard in the commercial was subsequently released as a single, becoming a very minor hit. It's unclear whether or not the actors/models who portrayed the group members in the TV ad and on the single cover are actually heard on the song, or if different vocalists were used. Although uncredited, the lead vocals were done by Jason Paige. Known for his work for Pokémon and many commercials.
