This CD compiles The Wedding Present's first two singles and mini album for Cooking Vinyl, together with tracks that were released by other labels between 1995 and 1997. Tracks 1-2 originally released on the 7" single Sucker (Merge, Siesta and The Wedding Pressent). Track 3 originally released on the 7" EP Saturday Night Special No.3 (Leadmill). Track 4 originally released on the compilation album Step Right Up: The Songs Of Tom Waits (Manifesto). Tracks 5-10 originally released on the mini album Mini (Cooking Vinyl). Tracks 11-14 originally released on the single 2, 3, Go (Cooking Vinyl). Tracks 15-20 originally released on the single Montreal (Cooking Vinyl). Tracks 1-4 recorded at Fon. Tracks 5-10 recorded at Rockfield. Tracks 11-18 recorded at September Sound and Gemini. Track 19 recorded live by the BBC at Sound City (Leeds, 1996). First transmission 12 April 1996 on the John Peel Show. Track 20 recorded live by the BBC at the Reading Festival.
