The Wet Secrets are a Canadian indie rock band from Edmonton, Alberta. The band was formed as the result of a dare between bassist Lyle Bell and drummer Trevor Anderson to form a band one week before their debut performance on February 19, 2005 at Seedy's in Edmonton. During that week, they wrote and recorded their debut album, A Whale Of A Cow, which they released independently on February 19, 2005. The band's second album, Rock Fantasy, was released online on February 14, 2007, peaking at the #2 spot on the CBC Radio 3 charts. It was later re-released independently on May 13, 2008, reaching the #8 position on Canada's national campus radio chart, !earshot, in June, 2008. The album maintained this chart position in July, 2008. On January 8, 2010, Grant Lawrence of CBC Radio 3 listed their song "Secret March" as one of the Top 20 Best Songs of the 2000s. In November 2014, the band won the first Alberta Peak Performance Project and shortly after signed to Canadian record label Six Shooter Records.
