The quartet - formed in Trani (Apulia, Italy) in 2012 - is composed by Luca Occhionigro (guitar and vocals), Gianni Ricchiuti (guitar), Francesco Adduce (bass) and Gianluca Muti (drums). Distortions, walls of sound, echoes and feedback characterize their sound, which are highly influenced by post-punk/new-wave and shoegaze movements. In February 2013 they release their first self-produced EP, “Mist” (5-Tracks Ep), recorded and mixed at “Flowers Recordings” by Thom Sgarangella. Many podcasts all over the world transmitted their songs, including Musicbang charts (Spain), Bigclick Radio (Mexico), Indie-stry (London). In 2013 The Whip Hand win the 25th edition of “RockContest Controradio” in Florence, which gives them the chance to record their first album at “Larione 10” Studio (Florence) On 16th May 2014 they release the 10-Tracks Album “Wavefold”, produced by Strawberry Records and Rock Contest Controradio. The album received positive reviews from critics. In January 2015 the drummer Gianluca Muti joins the band. In autumn 2015 Tony Bruno leaves the band for personal reasons and is replaced by Luca Occhionigro.
