Twin brothers Andrew Williams and David Williams from Henderson, Nevada, nephews of crooner Andy Williams. Born in February 22, 1959, the boys first came to light by appearing in an episode of The Partridge Family. In the fourth season episode titled ‘Two for the Show,’ they played (what else?) identical twins, who fall in love with Susan Dey's "Laurie Partridge”. Throughout the ‘70s, they tried to build a teen following, with a couple albums, Meet David and Andy Williams (1973) and One More Time (1973). As potential teen idols, they made the Hot 100 in 1974, billed as "Andy and David Williams", with the #92 entry "What's Your Name"; and featured in numerous teen magazines. In the early ‘80's, they began backing up artists such as Brian Setzer, the Plimsouls, Joe Ely, and the Cruzados and played in T-Bone Burnett's band during a European tour. Their talents as a multi-instrumentalists and performers soon caught the attention of the Warner Bros A&R executives Tom Whalley and Michael Ostin. Together the Andy and David, ending up writing and recording three albums for the label, as The Williams Brothers, in the 1990s, and made the Billboard Hot 100 with their song "Can't Cry Hard Enough" in 1992.
