Band,
The Yellow House is a Rock and Roll band in every sense of the term. Often described as the Stones meet Blur, their obvious 60's rock overtones are often subtly offset by more experimental elements in ways that enhance a wide array of sensible pop hooks and endearing melody lines. Forever interested in what lies between the lines, and making no effort to conform to any one scene or sound, The Yellow House exists to make music that both challenges and delights the true Rock fan. Three of the House's members, Joe Grez, Sonny Vitkauskas and Shawn Baker have played together over the past five years in several different projects ranging from the Tech-Industrial-Jazz Fusion project Infinte Vision to the Zappa-esque post-punk comedy rock of The Schlitz Family Robinson to the hook inspired and Jazz flavored Chaco Flavor. After a brief hiatus in their collaborative efforts the three long time friends came together again in June of 2001 and found a new streamlined effort in The Yellow House. The finishing touch came with the addition of newcomer Jeremy Muzika on Bass Guitar (Joe met Jeremy while playing with Southside Reggae-Spacepop band The Sons where both played Sax).
