b.: July 30, 1895 or 1893 (Perry, Iowa, U.S.) d.: May 07, 1972 (Seattle, Washington, U.S.) Tenor operatic and light music singer. He studied singing in Paris and made his debut at the Opéra-Comique. In the 1927-1930 seasons he was active in France and sang at the Opéra-Comique and at the Opéra de Monte-Carlo. In 1930 he returned to his native country and till 1934 was the big star of the Columbia Broadcasting Radio System.
