According to a contemporary online reviewer early promo copies came in "one rather crap cardboard sleeve with paper covers apparently pritt-sticked on, this is a single screaming DIY from the off. It screams colour too, laser pink and lime green to be exact, and as far as packaging goes, Theoretical Girl’s debut single is spot on as it manages to sell the music inside it perfectly; approximate and thrown together, yet vibrant and high-contrast."
