Released only a month after Born In A Crash this second compilation of pre-Troublegum ep's. Where Born In A Crash compiled all 8 tracks of the Face The Strange and Opal Mantra ep's, Hats Of To The Insane only contains all three ep leading tracks and three out of nine 'b-sides'. Released in a standard jewel case with black CD tray and with a 5-panel 10-page insert booklet with lyrics, credits and photos. Some copies may have a black sticker with green letters printed: "Specially priced EP featuring Screamager 31454 0139 2 (ST01) Printed in the U.S.A." Tracks 1-3 are taken from the Shortsharpshock E.P. (March, 1993) Tracks 4-5 are taken from the Face The Strange E.P.
