Band,
Singer / Musician of Rock and Dance
It all began in August 2004. Meeting first as classmates at The Harris Institute in Toronto, three aspiring musicians (Bryan Lowe: guitar, vocals; Gary Peter: bass, guitar, vocals; Mark Stanfield: vocals, guitar, bass) had plans of making music together once they graduated. With a common appreciations for Bloc Part, Metric, Interpol and The Postal Service, the three started meeting at Bryan's 14th floor apartment. There, they began to practice, all with a common goal of improving their musicianship as a cohesive unit, while avoiding noise complaints from the neighbours. It didn't take long for the band to develop a sound all their own. Cathy groove, blended with clever bass lines, finger-tapping guitars and unique vocals from all members combine to create a familiar, yet fresh sound. They began performing live in August 2005 and released their first self-produced EP entitled "Learn By Doing". They have since rounded out there line-up with two amazingly talent musicians: Adam Balsam (drums) and Griffon Marsh (keyboards, percussion). In addition to having a passion for crafting catchy, original songs, These Electric Lives crave the exhilaration of playing in front of an audience. Their lives show is full of contagious energy... and if sweaty dancing breaks out amongst the crowd - so be it.
