English alternative / goth rock band from Haywards Heath & Cuckfield in Sussex. Formerly known as Black October they took their influences from the Chameleons, Sisters of Mercy and early U2. Formed in early 1985 they changed their name to Third Generation circa 1987, they split up in the late 80's. Re-merging in the 90's under the variation 3rd Generation.
