A.k.a. Matt Gall
Third Wave aka Matt Gall released his first four singles with the Greenwich Record Company Label Spinners. His style has been compared to that of Matt Darey, Ferry Corsten and Paul Van Dyk for his weaving melodies and pumping trance style beats. Matt also recorded under other pseudonyms like The Afterglow with his brother Simon who sings. He writes and remixes tracks in many different styles of dance music like ambient, disco, house and hard house. Third Wave was Roland's official UK and European Master of the Groove: the UK competition finals were held on 23rd Feb 2000 at Mr C's club The End and were judged by Hybrid (the Welsh massive) and Jon Digweed (Bedrock/Twilo). The European Competition was held in April at Frankfurt and saw Third Wave fend off 10 other Countries to take the prize worth £4,500. There was a panel of 6 judges, including DJ Tiësto, DJ Taucher and Kai Tracid who swiftly negotiated the international license of "Then Comes Night..." for his label Angel Dust, trance sublabel of Tracid Traxxx.
