The beautiful follow up to their self-titled 1996 album, Beyond the Beyond displays a mature band. The familiar elements are all still there; Lee's courageous lyrics and dream-like chordal melodies, Rob's everlasting groove and distinctive tone, and newcomer Clay Green's fantastic drum-playing and grooving. Though only three tracks, each tune is very strong; always beautiful, always touching. A smooth addition to This World's repertoire. This album sings.
