The possessor of a Cable Ace Award and a golden record, Thom Bishop is maybe best known by many in the music world for his wonderful songwriting ability. He has written songs that have been recorded by many artists, including James Lee Stanley, Bob Dylan, Jim Post, Richie Havens, and Bonnie Koloc. In 1987 Bishop released a debut album of his own, Restless State of Grace, recorded under the Profile Records label. The album showcases tunes like "Until My Heart Finds Out," "Now That I'm Naked," "Daughter Divine," and "Where It Goes When It's Gone." It was nearly ten full years before Bishop finished a second album. Feed Me a Dream was released by Coyote Records in 1996. "Things We Said Today" and "I Built My Own Prison" are a couple of the numbers you'll find on the noteworthy sophomore offering. Bishop has also co-written a musical theater work, Book of the Night, and the musical score for the film, American Reel.
