Jazz (Free Jazz)
A1, B1 & B2 recorded January 1981 at 1750 Arch Studios, Berkeley, CA. A2 recorded live at Pacific School Of Religion, Berkeley, CA. The trio was formed in the summer of 1979 on the occasion of a concert given by Gerald Oshita and Tom Buckner at the Creative Music Studios in Woodstock, New York. Gerald was teaching a course in "New Concepts in Composition" in a summer program directed by Roscoe Mitchell of the Art Ensemble of Chicago. That same summer, the three gave a concert at Soundscape in New York City, and a long-term collaboration began, resulting in concerts in California and the recording of this album.
