Album US 2014 on Aerotek Recordings label
Dance (Techno, Tech House)
Thomas Latham returns on Aerotek with his 2nd EP titled 'Kontrol' and when we tell you that this is a massive release for us, it's without question. Thomas puts forth his most rawest production to date with Kontrol as he is not holding anything back with this one. Then to add icing to the cake, we tactically put together some of the finest remixers on the remix kontrols to demolish on the duties and the outcome was outstanding! Here you will find a little something for everyone, which is exactly what Aerotek strives to bring to the forward thinking listener by providing a well-balanced arsenal of techno ranging from modern, to grooving, to industrially fierce, to broken, to dub. We are quite pleased with the results and we think you will too. The original was featured on the 13th installment of Rolando's Aerotekno Sessions on Fnoob Techno Radio, and it fit in perfectly with the likes of some of the baddest producers in the game. The driving qualities it provides with the right balance of groove, those infectious hats, that deep, rolling bassline and percussion leading up to that peak hour build, it certainly tantalizes the senses. We feel that it's Thomas' best work to date and we are honored for him to give this gem to be release on here. We can't even begin to describe how incredible the remixes turned out for Kontrol. Our go-to man, none other than UL brings the FIRE with his remix of Kontrol. What we like to consider the epitome of industrial techno, he brings just that. Considering this is the hardest production of UL's solo career in our view, there's no other time than to play his track than at the most intense moment of one's set. It will catapult the DJ and listener to the next level with its fierce qualities! Following UL, we welcome an international rising talent, and are extremely humbled for him to accept the remix duty, Brooklyn, New York's own Justin Schumacher!! His flawless tech house rendition of Kontrol is amazing in its own way. Rather to be very relieving and a proper change of pace to the release, Justin brings his technical and tailored skill set on showcase for us here and we couldn't be anymore proud to have him on here. This is when things get really interesting. NxNW is quickly becoming a household name for the underground goers in the american techno game. Their ability to think outside the box and come out with something totally out of left field, but yet still making it sound soo professionally balanced and unique, is exactly what they've come up with here. 2! versions of 'Kontrol' this duo brings to life, the 4tothefloor remix and the 'kontrolled experiment' version. When we originally heard the broken version, we were in awe and fueled with excitement. This is techno that you've rarely heard before and we thought it was perfect and quite fitting for us. We are honored to have all the artist here on the release and the future is certainly looking bright for all parties! Cheers!
