Electronic and Rock (Avant-garde)
"Improvising music for an imaginary science fiction movie. Forbidden Planet is a one-time live project that came off the internet. Without prior rehearsal, Thomas Maos and Björn Eichstädt, together with Pit Schmidt and Gino Robair entered stage to play an improvisation concert. There was only agreed a motto for the evening: improvising music for an imaginary science fiction movie. The concert given at the club Voltaire (Tübingen, Germany) was recorded live, and no edits have been made. The two 20-minute tracks cover the range from noisy, abstract and electronic soundscapes to tonal, melodic and minimalistic collage, generating a tension that resolves only at the end of listening."
