Death Metal band from Norway formed in 1990 as Embryonic. Also briefly active under the names Dark Device and Xerasia in the same year. Finally changed the name to the more well known Thou Shalt Suffer in 1991 which in turn became the foundation for the infamous Black Metal band Emperor. The latest album, as Ihsahn's solo project, is Neoclassical / Ambient music.
