Single US 1982 on Three Torches label
Electronic and Pop (New Wave)
A-side includes the demo version of "Cherry Pie" featuring Willie Alexander on vocal and Erik Lindgren providing the backing track. The A-side also includes a short fade in/fade out excerpt of "Baby I Love You," which was also recorded at the same session as the first recording of "Cherry Pie" and "In The Rain" released in 1981 (also as TT-001). This alternate pressing has "featuring Arnie 'Woo Woo" Wolfson" inscribed in the deadwax on the A-side, while the B-side is the same one used on the first pressing. The sleeve only includes the hand-stamped "Three Torches" in red ink on the front cover, while the first pressing includes in red ink the hand-stamp "Cherry Pie b/w In The Rain" on the top and "Three Torches" on the bottom. Both record labels on the first and second pressing are identical, with red ink on a white background. Note: Only 300 copies of this 45 with the demo version of "Cherry Pie" and the excerpt of "Baby I Love You" were pressed.
