Cuban guitarist, singer, and composer. Born on December 4th, 1922 in Santa Clara, died on August 16th, 2001 in Havana. Founded Bimbi Y Su Trio Oriental with Maximiliano Sánchez "Bimbi" and Pedro Feliú. Later in the 1950s he founded Trio Tico Alvarez, consisting of himself, Manuel Guilarte, and Adeonai Ferrer.
