Rock
Tiebreaker were formed in Odda, Norway in 2011, by five friends with a common interest in rock. No compromising, no reading between the lines, all blood and soul. In a matter of few years young guns Tiebreaker have emerged to the top flight of Norwegian rock & roll, hard believers in this mantra. Born and demoralized in the deep fjords of Norway. Between massive nature and industrial silence, Tiebreaker merge fiery high-octane melodic riffing, dripping with melancholy. Combining the nerve of 2000s rock & roll, with the utmost desperation and jangly raw power of early garage-rock. In a live context, the band delivers a sound and stage presence reminding of MC5 and The Hellacopters. Tiebreaker released their eponymous debut-EP in 2012. Touring sporadically, the band slowly started to gain a following throughout Norway. In 2013 the band traveled to SXSW in Austin, Texas to play a number of unofficial SXSW-shows. Resulting in a total of 11 performances in 9 days. The band repeated the success at SXSW in 2014. In October 2014, Tiebreaker released their first LP ”We Come From The Mountains” and toured extensively in Norway. After a long club-run the band ended up playing many of the biggest Norwegian festivals, delivering several critically acclaimed performances. The band was also invited to join legends Enslaved on a 3 week Norwegian tour. The band finished touring the record with a 6 week-long European tour in the early 2016. It's time to take rock & roll away from the tiring circuit and make it a melodic-blazing, ass-slinging, foot-through-the-floor sprint. Members: Thomas Espeland Karlsen - vocals Eirik Wik Haug - guitar Patrick Andersson - bass Pål Gunnar Dale - drums Olav VIkingstad - guitar (member from 2014) Øyvind Tømmernes - keyboards/organ (2011-2013)
