A.k.a. Տիգրան Արտյոմի Հեքեքյան (Тигран Артёмович Экекян)

Tigran Hekekyan or Тигран Экекян (b. 1959) is an Armenian conductor and music educator, artistic director of the Armenian TV And Radio Chamber Choir (1984-2002), professor at the Yerevan State Conservatory. He graduated from the Yerevan Conservatoire in 1984 and received PhD degree in 1987. Since 1985, Tigran Hekekyan had been teaching at the Conservatory, and he also gave workshops and lectures on conducting at the University of California in 1995. He founded the Young Singers of Armenia choir in 1992 and had been a leader of the group ever since.
