Tim Alexander is a visual and sound artist, and founding member of the experimental audio-visual group Points of Friction, who began performing in punk rock clubs, ad-hoc venues, and art galleries in the LA area in 1980. Group cohesion diminished around 1986. Eventually relocating with his family to Portland, Oregon, he concocts sounds and images at home and plays sporadic live shows. He was also an original member of the Portland free improvisational collective Fiasco. In 2004 Points of Friction reunited for a weekend recording session. The surviving members continue to record and play shows together.
