Australian Tim Blake has been playing the cello for more than 30 years. After completing his formal training at the Victorian College of the Arts he went on to become the Music Coordinator of the Little Yarra Steiner School, a position which he has held for the past 14 years. During his time at Little Yarra Steiner School Tim founded the Little Yarra Ensemble and has toured extensively throughout Australia and New Zealand with the group. As a professional musician Tim has explored a number of musical styles including classical, traditional & contemporary folk, pop/rock, jazz and hip hop. His music can be heard on a number of recordings including the yet to be released 'Illawarra Suite', a collaboration based on the work of the late Don Harper. He has appeared at a number of music festivals and CD launches over the years and has performed on television and radio. Tim can currently be heard playing in Melbourne clubs with the hip hop band 'True Live'.
