A.k.a. Ernestine Davis.

American jazz and blues trumpeter and singer. Born : August 05, 1907 in Memphis, Tennessee. Died : January 30, 1994 in Chicago, Illinois. "Tiny" Davis was considered one of the best female trumpetists in jazz. After having played with the "International Sweethearts Of Rhythm" (from 1941 to the 1946) she formed in 1946 an own band called "Tiny Davis and the Hell Divers." In the 1950s she played with the pianist Ruby Lucas in a jazz club in Chicago.
