Tip Top Tellix are from Yekaterunburg, Russia and first appeared in public in 2009, founded by Andrey (guitars) and Katya (vocals). In 2010 the line-up was completed by Ilya (drums) and Timofey (bass). Inspired by dream-pop classics, avant-garde musicians and all the weird music of all times, Tip Top Tellix represents a kind of pop music characterized by clean, transparent sound, permanently echoing guitars and soulful warm vocals over solid, sensitive rhythmic patterns. The main topic of the songs is a momentary sensation, still-life of the feelings, drawn by a wide palette of sounds. On this first EP we've tried to embody the phenomena of listening to music while falling asleep, when your attention is spreading out, blurring, and it is difficult to recognize if the sound is a figment of your own imagination or a piece of a composition you are listening to. Sometimes it sounds ethereal and far-away, sometimes huge and close. Here, we've put together a dream-pop concept of sound with the old-fashioned style of pop song-writing and a bit of something called "Wide Russian soul".
