A.k.a. Mary Elizabeth Gore (née Aitcheson)

Born: 19th August 1948, Arlington, Virginia, USA. American political activist, author and once member and founder of "Parents Music Resource Center" (PMRC) in 1985, which campaigned for warning labels on recordings marketed to those below the age of responsibility. The group enlisted support from various American senators of the time. Gore was married to, and is currently separated from, the then Senator for Tennessee, Al Gore. She resigned from the PMRC in 1985. The PMRC campaign was strongly opposed and petitioned by a number of recording artists, as diverse as the Dead Kennedys, John Denver, Frank Zappa and Joey Ramone.
