A.k.a. Copenhagen Phil Københavns Filharmoniske Orkester Sjællands Symfoniorkester
The philharmonic orchestra of Tivoli, Copenhagen where it resides at Tivoli Koncertsalen, Copenhagen. The history of the orchestra dates back to 1843 when H.C. Lumbye was engaged to be responsible for music in the Tivoli Gardens when they opened. Ever since, the orchestra has performed in the gardens during the summer season. Also functions as the regional orchestra of the island of Zealand under the alias Sjællands Symfoniorkester, and of the city of Copenhagen under the alias Københavns Filharmoniske Orkester.
