Band, 1975-1980 BE, Ostend
Rock and Blues
After a first attempt with his band Freckleface in 1972, Arno Hintjens and Paul Couter started Tjens Couter (made up out both of their names). They released their first single Saturday Night Queen / Sittin' In The Park in 1975. In 1977 bassplayer Ferre Baelen and drummer Rudy Cloet joined the band and the name was changed to Tjens Couter and the T.C. Band. Tjens Couter deserves an important place in Belgian music because it was the direct predecessor to TC Matic. A few months after the official name change Paul Decoutere left the band. He continued to make music. He was a part of Partisan (with Ferre Baelen) and went solo years later.
