Arranger / Conductor
Japanese conductor and arranger, mostly for wind band. Tohru Takahashi was born in 1958 at Kyoto and finished the master course of Osaka College Of Music in 1982. He is an associate professor of Osaka College Of Music now. He studied composition under Kei Kondo, orchestration under Hiroshi Ohguri, conducting under Hiroshi Koizumi and Kiyoyuki Tsujii. As a conductor he has a wide reach working in the field of opera, orchestra, string orchestra, concert band, mandolin orchestra, chorus and Japanese music. His band transcriptions are published by De Haske Publications BV.
