He has been playing bluegrass music for over 50 years and worked Frank Wakefield, Roy Lee Centers, Larry Sparks, Hylo Brown and many more. As a youngster, Tom learned to play the lap steel, the instrument he calls “probably my favorite.” Currently member from Dry Branch Fire Squad. Boyd was born and raised in Portsmouth, Ohio.
