Album US 2013 on Third Ham Records label
Rock

When I reflect on the 5 years since the first Tomato Face album was released, I grin like a Tomato. These songs have changed a great deal since we first wrote them, but in a lot of ways, we had it right the first time. I hope everyone can enjoy our little retrospective EP, but I dedicate it especially to those who have been with us since '08 - enjoy the Nostalgia! And endless thanks forever to Riccardo, Chris, and James, without whom these songs would not exist. ---Chase Price Not If I Am God: When recording the first album, our original singer, James, used to just throw out random bits of comedy right before I would hit record. Some of these gems made it onto the final tracks along with our collective laughter. "I was dancing with the gypsies" started as one of these in-jokes, and is used in this re-imagined rendition as a catchy catchy bridge. Pop Sensibility: Recorded in December of 2006, this catchy jam is the very first piece of recorded Tomato Face material. The bass riff was later used for the song $1.50. A Tall Glass of OJ: This is a twisted rendition of our very first "hit" from the depths of Tough Eddy's mysterious brain. The Phantom Power: In the context of professional audio equipment, The phantom power is a method for transmitting DC electric power through microphone cables to operate microphones that contain active electronic circuitry. In other words, A GHOSTLY CREATURE OF UNTOLD POWER. This track was recorded live in Chase's basement shortly before the release of "Tomato Face" and was mostly improvised. It was insanely fun to perform. Surfing In the Snow: For the original Surfing In the Snow, Riccardo and Chase switched roles: Chase on Guitar, Riccardo on bass. The result of this experiment was a song that stood out from the bunch, and invoked thoughts of snow covered hillsides and vengeful mythological creatures. This version, composed by our own Tough Eddy, however, simply invokes memories of yuletide cheer and wrapping paper.
