Tommy Dean is a vocalist, bassist, and songwriter from Atlanta, Georgia. His first recording was Found Love with Fly-Bi-Nights in 1967. He later founded Thermos Greenwood, who recorded the album Pinhead Teddy on Browntown Records and also recorded a 45 for Fretone Records with a-side Who Gave The Monkey A Gun and Be Yourself as b-side. There was a EP of Thermos Greenwood released by Emtrec with Adaptable, Nina of the Nile, Anti-Destination League, and another title. Dean later recorded an EP with Sunbelt Millionaires. He played bass on Midnight Rainbows by Joe South on Island Records on which he is co-writer on God Forgave Me and writer of Home and Homesick. Dean co-wrote title track of Geoff McBride's Do You Still Remember Love on Arista. He wrote Loneliness Is Here To Stay for Tinsley Ellis and No Peace In The Jungle on Joe Walsh's Got Any Gum album. Dean was leader of League of Decency who recorded five discs for Intersound International, Inc and two independently released albums - Swing, Soul, and Rock'n'Roll and Jump Yer Bones which was released under the psuedonym Mondo Heptet. Dean later released Blues Say Goodbye with pianist and composer Michael Ewbank.
