American producer of live entertainment (November 8, 1922, Milwaukee, Wisconsin – October 20, 1986 Birmingham, Alabama). As an undergraduate at the University of Southern California, Walker served both as drum major of USC's marching band and place-kicker for the Trojans' football team. In fall 1946, when he was a Junior in college, he composed the six-note fanfare "Charge" that is still played at sports events. After graduation, he became USC's Band Director; in this function, he and the "Trojan-Aires" recorded USC's fight songs with Radio Recorder in Hollywood in 1953. In 1955, he became the first director of entertainment at Disneyland. Later in his career, he directed, e.g., the fireworks displays at the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles.
