Member of Crotty Corman and Phipps with former Dave Brubeck Trio bassist Ron Crotty, Triceratops , Three Tenors No Opera , Husband of Bay Area pianist Laura Klein Graduate of Berklee College of Music in 1977, with a degree in saxophone performance, had an active career playing sax and flute from then until 2002, played saxophone with Full Faith and Credit big band, but in 2002 developed a movement disorder called focal dystonia, which affected his jaw and compelled him to stop playing winds.
