Worked for CTI Records from 1974 to 1979, overseeing many disco-oriented projects for the Kudu label. As a lyricist, he co-wrote many songs with arranger/producer David Matthews. His biggest hit was "Could Heaven Ever Be Like This," composed for Idris Muhammad's album "Turn This Mutha Out." He also supervised Esther Phillips' "What A Difference A Day Makes."
