A.k.a. John William Hodkinson
Tony Allen was the name of the first appearance on the music scene of the singer who later became known as J.W.Hodkinson, the vocalist with late 60s/early 70s Island label jazz-rock band If. He was also later a member of Darryl Way's Wolf, and in the latter half of the 70s was part of 3-piece close harmony group Rogue. He was born in Leigh, Lancashire in December 1942, and died in June 2013.
