A.k.a. House Butthouse
House is an American producer and bass player with extensive touring experience throughout the U.S., Europe, Brazil and Japan. As a founding member and frontman of the pioneering Rap Rock band Limbomaniacs, he collaborated with Grammy award winning producers Bill Laswell(Herbie Hancock, PIL, John Zorn, Pharoah Saunders) and Dave Jerden(Jane's Addiction, Alice in Chains, Red Hot Chili Peppers). The Limbomaniac album "Stinky Grooves" featured guest appearances by legendary funk musicians Bootsy Collins, Maceo Parker, and the Tower of Power horns. WIth his electronic music production duo Ben Wa, House continued his association with Bill Laswell by composing tracks for several of the producer's compilations. Ben Wa also released two full length albums combining Electro and Breakbeat styles, as well as the legendary Devil Dub CD, an electronic update of the classic dub style featuring Buckethead, Brain, and MIRV. House has performed or collaborated with notable musicians including Buckethead, Larry Lalonde (Primus), Tim Alexander (Primus), Tommy Guerrero, Mykal Rose(Black Uhuru), Adrian Young (No Doubt), Brain (Gun's and Roses, Tom Waits, Primus, Limbomaniacs), Money Mark (Beastie Boys), Dub legend Scientist, Ramellzee, Ray White (Frank Zappa), Alfredo Ortiz (Beastie Boys, Ozomatli), DJ Disc (Invisbl Skratch Piklz, Herbie Hancock), DJ Quest (Live Human, Bullet Proof Scratch Hamsters), Bobcat Goldwaith (Television stage band) Kenny Brooks (Bob Weir's Ratdog), M.I.R.V., Honeycut, The Kehoe Nation, Lagos Roots feat. members of Fela Kuti's Africa 70, and the popular local showband Casino Royale. He recently performed in the stage band for the 53rd Annual San Francisco International Film Festival Awards honoring Robert Duvall. His studio session work as both a bass player and voice over talent includes commercials for Toyota, Levi's, Dryers Ice Cream, and The Goodguys. House has performed at both major international festivals as well as large and small venues in his home base of the San Francisco Bay Area including the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, The Warfield, The independent (50+), Slims (50+), The Fillmore, Great American Music Hall, Bimbo's, Herbst Theater and The Treasure Island Music Festival. He has toured Japan nine times to date including three appearances at the Fuji Rock Festival and numerous club and television performances.
