Tony Currenti

dr,
Musician of Rock

Tony Currenti is best known for being the drummer on AC/DC's first album, High Voltage (1975). Two tracks from that first album appeared on the international release of High Voltage (1976) and three on '74 Jailbreak (1984). Tony also recorded the single "High Voltage" in the studio with AC/DC, with Phil Rudd appearing in the film clip. The song appeared on TNT (1975) and the international release of High Voltage (1976). Tony's other drumming projects include Stevie Wright (songs off Hard Road and Black Eyed Bruiser), John Paul Young (Yesterday's Hero, I Hate The Music), Ray Burgess (Love Fever) and his own band Jackie Christian & Flight (Love, The Last Time I Go To Baltimore and more). Tony retired from drumming in the late 1970s and stopped playing music but made his long-awaited comeback in 2014.
