Anton "Tony" Hartweger was born on May 14, 1906 in Vienna, he died in a car accident in Germany on april 14, 1973. He was a singer, musician and composer of German-language music. Before the Second World War he fled to amsterdam, The Netherlands in 1938. He was a well-known musician in performances in The Netherlands. His biggest hit was "Ich Glaub Die Welt Dreht Sich Verkehrt". In Amsterdam he has various pubs named: "Wiener Café", "Wiener Bonbonnière" and the "Zirbelstube" all around the Leidseplein. Anton "Tony" Hartweger is buried on Hietzinger Friedhof in Vienna, Austria.
