(b. 10 June 1964) in Te Kuiti, New Zealand, Tony Martin started his media career in 1979 when his Super-8 film Batman Again came third in New Zealand television's TV2 School Filmmaking Competition. After moving to Hamilton and then on to Brisbane as a writer for a Brisbane radio station. Tony worked on the TV show Rubbery Figures (1986) and then worked as a writer / actor with The D-Generation on their first TV show The D-Generation (1987) From 1987 to 1991 Tony wrote and performed on Melbourne radio's D-Generation Breakfast Show After the radio show ended he went on to work with on The Late Show (1992 to 1993). Next was his own radio show with mate Mick Molloy. The Martin/Molloy show (1995 to 1998) was a comedy show broadcast to 50 stations Australia wide. After his stints in radio, Tony turned to Film and Television, he has worked on a number of films both in front and behind the camera, including The Castle (1997) and Bad Eggs (2003). He is currently hosting his own radio show Get this on Australia's Triple-M radio network. He is married to Annie Maver who is also involved in the Australian Film and Television industry.
