A.k.a. Giuseppe Alexander Antonio Romandini
Guitarist, composer, arranger, and teacher. from Montréal, Québec. Born 27 July, 1928, he started playing guitar at the age of 8. By the age of 20 he was working at the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) as a session guitarist. In the 1950's Tony was a part of the Montreal Jazz circuit. He became a first-call jazz session player, playing with jazz legends including Oscar Peterson, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker. Later in his career, Romandini performed with the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, as well as the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, before settling into teaching at Concordia University (1974–77) and later McGill University (1979–2000). He continues to give guitar lessons at Vanier College in Montreal.
